GFWC Maine Fall Conference

The GFWC Maine annual Fall Conference was held on October 17, 2026. The day was a big success, with just over 45 attendees and a lovely fall day. A representative from the Ronald McDonald House provided a very informative presentation on all of the wonderful things they do to support families. GFWC members really came through with the donations (see photo in the gallery). Children's author Lynn Plourde introduced us to her "Bionic Boy" story and gave us an overview on her writing and previous books. Attendees were also treated to a delicious lunch of warm minestrone soup, sandwiches, and a selection of salads. For dessert, we enjoyed a spice cake topped with whipped cream. Club Tea Pot displays were auctioned off, and business items were reviewed and approved. All and all, a good day.
Guest Speaker
The guest speaker at this year's event will be Maine author, Lynn Plourde. Lynn is a children's book author who recently published the Bionic Boy. She will be signing books if you would like to bring a copy with you. (She will not be selling copies.) The Limerick Public Library currently has a copy of the book, if you would like to read it.

The Spring Convention will be held at T&B's Celebration Center in Skowhegan on May 13-14, 2027.
